King Edwards Maths Challenge (15/12/2017)
Today 4 year fours have been to King Edwards to take part in their Maths Challenge competition. There were two rounds, first of all was cross number where the children had to work in pairs to work out the challenging, maths questions. Secondly, they had to run a relay race where the children collected maths questions, answered them then returned them to their team leader. The children all worked very hard and succeeded as a team in winning third place. Well done!!

Junior Leadership Team - Trees For Life (22/11/2017)
The Percy JLT have been lucky to work with the team at Birmingham Trees For Life. They planted 10 trees in Calthorpe Park with the help of the rangers. The children planted a variety of trees including plum trees, apple trees and Magnolia trees. We look forward to seeing them grow and mature in the coming years.

Junior Leadership Team - Houses Of Parliament Visit (17/11/2017)

Percy JLT had an amazing day in London on Friday, visiting The Houses of Parliament. The children were given a guided tour, where they explored the Palace of Westminster to find out how UK democracy has been shaped over time. They discovered how issues in Parliament are debated and how the public can get their voices' heard. The children experienced travelling on a train and the London Underground for the first time ever. This day out will be an experience they will remember forever. The children were praised by staff for their exemplary manners and excellent behaviour throughout. They were a real credit to Percy Shurmer Academy.
